Our general assembly is coming up - and we need you!

There will be four open positions in the board, and one position as regional representative in the Central Denmark region (Aarhus). Without a board and regional representatives, no network. We are therefore in dire need of new and dedicated young professionals to help run the network. Board members are elected for a 2 year period besides the alternate who is elected for a 1 year period. The regional representative is elected for a 1 year period. We truly hope you will consider running for one of the positions! The application has to be sent to the board by e-mail on May 20, 2022, the latest. The application should specify whether you run for the board or as regional representative along with a short motivation.

As a board member or regional representative you will play a leading role in the network and have high visibility to senior water professionals, decision makers, companies and associations like IWA, DANVA and Danish Water Forum. No matter if you are a student, career starter or already established young water professional, we are sure you will be able to contribute to the network. The next couple of years will be very interesting with the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition coming up in September 2022, plans of a major European YWP conference in 2024, growing networks in Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen, and an increasing amount of external collaborations with other actors on the Danish water scene as well as with other YWP chapters.

The general assembly will take place on June 3, 2022, between 9:45 and 11:15 at Aarhus Vand at their headquarter in Aarhus V at Gunnar Clausens Vej 34, 8260 Viby. The general assembly happens during our annual YWPDK conference; however, participating in the general assembly does not require sign-up to the conference and is free of charge.

The agenda for the general assembly is:

1. Election of spokesperson
2. Election of meeting secretary
3. Presentation of the annual report
4. Presentation of future visions
5. Presentation of the audited annual accounts and adoption of the budget for the coming year
6. Election of board members and alternate
7. Election of regional representatives
8. Election of auditor (and deputy auditor)
9. Consideration of received proposals
