What is your current work title and what is your background/degree?
I am a Process Engineer at Grundfos BioBooster. I am responsible for process design, commissioning and handover of plants to the customer. In addition, I also help with technical sales support.
What is your motivation for working with water?
Water is a necessary resource for all. There is a pressure on the world’s drinking water resources and therefore we need to think differently to ensure clean water in the future. It motivates me to work with solutions that make water recycling possible.
What are your main interests within this field?
My interest is mainly wastewater treatment, seeing the aspect of wastewater as a resource. I like to work with cases where wastewater can be a substitute for drinking water. In Grundfos BioBooster we work with treatment of hospital wastewater, and therefore is removal of micro pollutants also a topic that interests me.
What was your motivation for becoming a member of YWPDK and how did you hear about the network?
I became familiar with YWPDK via LinkedIn. Then I was asked to give a presentation at the first YWPDK conference. I think it is important with a young water community where all can share their interests and discuss the water situation in Denmark and in the rest of the world.
What are your thoughts on the challenges that we, as young water professionals, face in the coming years?
In Denmark to create a good water environment. I imagine that there in the future will be more stringent requirements for wastewater treatment to avoid problems with resistant bacteria, micro-pollutants, micro plastic etc. Worldwide the challenges concerning clean drinking water.
