Capital Region Technical Tour: Kløvermarken Pumping Station

Dear members of the Capital Region,
This is an opportunity to visit Copenhagen’s main sewage pumping station, the largest of it’s kind in Denmark! The new pumping station, located at Kløvermarken in Amager, is an upgrade of the existing pumping station from 1901, which moves literally all wastewater from Copenhagen, Frederiksberg and northern Amager to the Lynetten WWTP at Refnæs. Not only is this a demonstration of a modern high capacity installation, it is also about history of Copenhagen wastewater management which is still very apparent from the restoration of the original pumping station architecture.
The construction works started in 2015 as a project between Krüger and HOFOR.
The tour, which starts at 16.00 on the 16th of March 2023, , consist of the following agenda:
- Visit to HOFOR’s ICS controlsystem
- Presentation of the Kløvermarken pumping station project (HOFOR and Krüger)
- Tour around Kløvermarken
- Networking
We will meet at HOFOR A/S, Herjedalsgade 1-3, 2300 Kbh S.
After the visit, there will be a possiblity to have a free drink in town on YWPDK.
