Blockchain in the water sector – first contact
Tuesday, 19. November @ 17:30 - 20:30 CET
Blockchain is a relatively new technology and largely unknown to water professionals. Young Water Professionals Denmark wants to change that and invites its members for a workshop on “Blockchain in the water sector – first contact”. Amy Sigrid Butts from IBM Denmark will give an introductory talk about blockchain technology and its application in other sectors. After Amy’s talk, we will engage in group work to identify and develop potential applications of blockchain in the water sector and familiarize ourselves with the technology. Afterwards, the groups will present their results and engage in an open discussion with Amy and other YWPs.
The workshop will take place at HOFOR (Ørestads Blvd. 35, 2300 København). Please see the program below.
You do not need any prior knowledge about blockchain in order to join, only a lot of curiosity and motivation to explore something new!
If you want to do some reading beforehand, have a look at IWAs blog about blockchain.
